Meet Our Providers

H. Douglas Woodford. MD, FACOG
Dr. Woodford received his medical education at the University of Tennessee-College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee and completed both his internship and residency at the University of Tennessee. He has been in private practice since 1985 and is Board Certified by the American College of OB/GYN. He is also a Fellow of the American College of OB/GYN, the American organization for obstetrics and gynecology. In 1992, he completed a preceptorship in reproductive/infertility surgery. Dr Woodford opened this practice in 1993 providing services for women having difficulty achieving pregnancy and all types of gynecological services, then in 1997 began delivering babies again.

George S. Allen, III, MD, FACOG
Dr. Allen came to our practice from Glasgow, Kentucky in October 2006. He received his medical degree, internship and resident training from the University of Kentucky-College of Medicine where he served as Chief Resident of the Albert B. Chandler Medical Center in 1988. He is Board Certified by the American College of OB/GYN and is a Fellow of the American College of OB/GYN, the American organization for obstetrics and gynecology. Dr Allen has a special interest in urogynecology, urodynamics and high-risk OB care.

Pamela A. Tate. BSN, CRNP
Mrs. Tate received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama in 1976 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Alabama-Huntsville in 1978. She is a board certified OB/GYN practitioner by NAACOG. Mrs. Tate has been a practicing Nurse Practitioner in OB/GYN since 1982 and has been with this practice since its establishment in 1993.

Sheila M. McNutt. MSN, CRNP
Mrs. McNutt received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1976 from the University of Tennessee, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Alabama in 1992 and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama-Huntsville in 1994. She was certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1995 by the ANCC from the University of Alabama-Huntsville and has been practicing with this practice since 1995. In 2003, Mrs. McNutt received her certification as a Certified Clinical Densitometrist from the International Society for Clinical Densitometry. Mrs. McNutt was also certified as a lactation consultant by the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants in 1989.

Danielle C. Elliott, MSN, CRNP
Mrs. Elliott received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of North Alabama in 1987, a Master of Science in Nursing in 1991 from the University of Alabama-Birmingham and was certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC from the University of Alabama-Huntsville in 1994. She was also certified as a lactation consultant by the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants in 1997. Mrs. Elliott has been a practicing Nurse Practitioner in the field of OB/GYN since 1995 and joined this practice in 2004.
